took these last year while up in monterey. Regretting I didn't do a full-scale exploration of the place, although these barracks were pretty cool!

I know! I was only there for a brief period and could only do a little bit of exploring. One of these days I hope to spend more time there!

You and me both !! I wish people wouldn't use it, but it's an easy mistake to make when you first start out.

We should send a request to Avatar to take out the pop up selection. I really like these pictures, makes me anxious to get out there.

I use a picture host called smugmug and then load my pics from there. I recommend this method since it helps preserve the quality of your images. Here are the ins and outs of picture posting for UER.

The fastest and easiest thing to do is to change the code in your post.

From:
[pic=6607d15b1153b57a5242823c280f3e5d]

To:
[inp=6607d15b1153b57a5242823c280f3e5d]

So, you're changing the "pic" in the code to "inp". The code refences an image, but depending on the code in front of the image depends on how it's distplayed.

Took me few trys then once I got it I was like "duh" and felt dumb lol, but if you use the quick gallery creator just make sure to UNCHECK creat pop-up images box.

Or do as decreptitude said and use a code from smugmug, I havent used a code from there yet but plan on it on my next set after this weekend.

The code if a just a way to fix it if you made a mistake. Doing the right way is always the best way, but if you make a mistake there is a way to fix it.

Anybody going to be out there this afternoon? I'm taking a friend from out of state to check it out for a few hours. PM me and I'll shoot you my phone number for possible meetup.

Had some fun today. Checked out the pool, couple churches, the skater warehouse, the burned out warehouse, a couple barracks, an old PX. Even brought along my wife and my 4 year old son who had a blast playing with a flashlight in the buildings. Saw a couple other people checking out the buildings and went to say Hi. They weren't from UER, and they asked if I had any problem with them being there... LOL! Interesting day, and went to Sarita's for dinner. Can't get much better than that.

Yeah, there's literally thousands of buildings. I'm ticking them off a few at a time on Google Earth as I go in each one. I found one labeled "morgue" on the outside. Saved it for next time I go. Still much, much more to see.

Shoot me a PM if you're going to hit it. I could probably scrape together a couple others who have explored the place more than me and we could do a group explore of the best locations.

Don't worry about that one, I did that. That's the monthly airsoft field and many of the buildings there have names. On the last cleanup day we cleared all the glass out of that building and opened it up for play. We were going to name it the "hospital" because we figured every city should have one. I went to make a stencil and found the "H" to be missing, among other letters, so it ended up being "Morgue" All you will find in there are bb's. Lot's of buildings in that area have phony names, such as Hotel, Labs, Embassy, and PGE (Didn't have the letters for Power Plant either)

You want some stencils? I can cut up some from cardboard on my laser. Next time you're past Morgan Hill, you can drop by and pick up, or next time I'm out there I'll drop off in a specific building and PM you the details.

I'll probably still go stick my head in those buildings anyway eventually. I'm being thorough.
