Few hints, go a little west to the Ventura area and coast line, Maybe south a little into the LA area, you can bounce up north to the Kern County area, or head east to the desert. Start researching my friend =) Also think about what it is you like to explore the most because that will kind of guide you to who can be your best explore buddies and resources.
