| | | step 1:get a full body massage at the nicest spa in town, maybe a happy ending if that's what you're into. step 2: smoke a fine Cuban cigar step 3: watch the movie UP step 4: meet up with your BFF / BF / GF / DOG step 5: have fun and stop worrying so much (unless you're a convicted felon, then I say to the chair with ya buddy!!)
Post Game: Get some hot chocolate, make sure it has marshmallows, and warm waffles or pancakes with lots of bacon and eggs from your nearest denny's / IHOP [last edit 6/28/2011 10:58 PM by RescueMe1060 - edited 1 times]

| | | in my experience, getting in and out is the only stressful part. once you're in, no one's really going to come find you. just make your exit quick and smooth and then let the tide of adrenaline catch up to you.
We're all just trapped between the stippled earth and the stubbled sky. |

| | | It's my assumption that a single officer out on the street would not enter an abandoned building, especially something like a factory or hospital. Anyone disagree? [last edit 6/29/2011 1:33 AM by citrusleak - edited 1 times]

I don't disagree, but there's a danger that you'll never get out of the house in the first place.

| | | Posted by angrygocart The last explore I did a federal police officer (not a security guard) said that he charges anyone going in or our of the vacant buildings. And it's a federal charge which means you have a 95% chance of being found guilty with a lot more to worry about than a payable fine.
|
really? what agency? admittedly, the US has quite a number of federal agencies with domestic law enforcement mandates, but i'm having a hard time figuring out which would care about policing abandonments within the jurisdiction of a city or county... though i guess it really depends where you are. parks? DOE lands? something DHS keeps an eye on? "federal police officer" is a tricky term to use, because there's an enormous difference between city/county/state law enforcement agencies, and the very specific mandates of federal agencies (who don't simply "police" in the normal sense). the circumstances would have to fall within a fairly narrow range, for you to actually be charged with a federal offense for exploring an abandoned building...

I've never regretted driving a manual until this point. Well, I'm okay on the freeway, obviously. When I'm not texting.

| | | I agree with what was previously said. After you get more experience, it becomes less nerve wracking. I go with my fellow UER friends, so even if a situation was to occur (eg. Police, Hobos, druggies, etc.) I don't have to deal with the situation on my own.
