With such little activity on ur account it shows you are not a serious member. If you asked for some people to hang with & had a few explores on ur 5 year profile you may have gotten some help. We found tons of shit on our own with google. Yep good old google is ur friend in SoCal too. Best of luck.

The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us?

You will likely find several cool locations just by browsing through the West area forum -- go back a few pages and i guarantee you'll spot some worthwhile explores.

Generally we are pretty cautious about just providing locations openly on the forum, when asked by someone we don't know very well. Your chances are much better looking up posts, and maybe even private messaging members who seem helpful.

Good luck out there,

Aleks

I myself have had an account for a little over a year now without posting or contributing anything. Mostly I'd just check in every once in a while to do some lurking; it wasn't until recently that I've been able to actually go out and do some exploring. I went to the Salton Sea with a few friends around 6 months ago, but aside from that I've never actually been on a trip to a truly abandoned location.

So yeah. Now that I can get around and start exploring places I actually have a reason to participate. Just found out about the LA Nazi stronghold, so I'll be making a trip up there very soon.

Just thought I'd share my story.

People should stop posting "im gonna be in town" when nobody knows who the fuck they are.

This place has an odd dynamic. You get used to it. It took a couple years for people to start being "friendly" to me. Withholding (common) information is a popular pastime 'round these parts. Just keep poking around and sooner or later, once someone is keen enough to realize you aren't a juvenile douchebag vandal (hint: most vandals don't bother to register and post on forums just to find a place to tag), someone will actually assist you instead of sounding elitist and protective over 'public' and/or abandoned structures.
