This has got to be the coolest public place ive ever been to:
The Shreveport Water Works Museum AKA the Mcneill Street pumping station.

I wish I could explain in more detail. So much cool machinery and stuff from the 1910s -1930s. The place is untouched in some parts. Its actualy got a one of the last remaining pumps of its kind in the us.

The place is free and owned by the city. I took my girlfriend their on a date, she effin loved it. Shes a science nerd and was gawking over all the old science equipment in the lab.

I want to set a special expedition for some of the "special" places if anyone will join me.

-------- Carneys Corndog Stand

This place is a hidden gem. Its in plain sight but its hidden on some little side road. Ill have to get you guys the address later. I don't know who owns te property but its brilliant.

I tried searching for ever on any info about "carneys corndogs" i couldn't find anything an any chain of them. I can find plenty of pictures of this one here in shreveport, but no where else.

Un-fortunatly dispite looking like its from the 1950s it has Flourecent Lightbulbs.

i can also tell its not a movie prop as it has all the gas hookups and an emergency grease shower.

WARNING: be careful, the floor is rotting through as well as the entire thing is sitting (or balancing) on a "lincoln log" type stack wood used in railroads that are also rotting.

I saw a breathing lump under a blanket, what could it be? - 1 hobo - 2 dwarf hobos - 8 racoons - 443 rats - 896 mice or 11 rat kings?

Looks like a pretty sweet site man!

I'm from Louisiana (Baton Rouge area) and I'm new to this forum. I'm totally down with getting a group of people together. I have a Louisiana friend that I explore with already but we should definitely get a group together!

When the student is ready, the master appears.
