| | | Greetings everyone, As Stated in my introduction I recently moved to Louisiana. By recent I mean two years ago and let me tell you it has been a place to get used to. Anyways I moved to a small town just south of Lafayette and for over a year now I have been passing over a bridge about every few days. Whenever I pass over the bridge, off in the distance is a smoke stack from an old mill. I have been telling myself for quite some time now I will check it out. Well three weeks ago I did just that. Here is what came of it, I hope you all enjoy! Oh, I definitely want to meet up with locals and U.E. but unfortunately this is the busy season offshore for me and I will be living on a boat for up to six weeks at a time before I hit land. Granted I have internet to correspond I won’t be available for any adventure’s for a while and when on land I could get a call to go right back out. So if anyone is interested in the future U.E. we will just have to do some planning that’s all. Thanks for your patience. 1. Entry into the smoke stack
2. Explosive Art
3. There are many hole's in the foundation
4. Inside the smoke stack
5. One of the floors still intact
6. This is where the mill used to receive boat traffic I imagine
7. Side shot of smoke stack
8. just below where I took the pic. of the foundation #3
9. Second level
10. Same
11. Monkey see monkey do
12. Down here I could see turtles
13. One side of the mill [last edit 5/7/2011 6:31 PM by Urban_Chia - edited 13 times]

| | | Hi everyone, I am new at this so please feel free to give me tips and advice. I am personally wondering how people post such nice quality photos on here. I had to compress my 60mb pic down to 100k.I don't think they look to great now.

| | | Nice set, great find! A word to the wise: Don't use your real name as a watermark. You never know who's poking around this website, including authorities, and while this mill is probably safe, other places, the pictures might count as incriminating evidence. +1 all your links need a password.
When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store. |

| | | Great set of pictures. Looks like a place I'd love to explore. I'd either tone down or eliminate the watermarks as they tend to take away some of the intensity and "coolness" of the pix, In my ever so humble opinion. Otherwise, Good Show!!!!
