It looks a little HDRish on the rock in image #2 as the depth in the rock is gone... Stop.

This is an after thought.

1 and 2 were shot the same day. 3 was shot a couple days earlier, and the moon was shot back in February... I just just looking for opinions about the sharpness, exposure and composition. there was NO fog at all the days I shot 1,2 and 3, but there were very many dark clouds, very over cast, poor shooting conditions, in terms of getting properly, exposed images, taht I was actually happy with

Yes, number 2 IS HDR... and yes, I do have the original images...

Number 3, is HDR as well, but it turned out a lot better then expected.. probably one of my better HDR attempts

Number 2

Number 1

Number 3

Hmmmm....I guess the water looks weird in the originals too. Must just be the long exposure not much you can do about that. Maybe get a neutral density filter and push the times out to smooth things out more. I think #5 (exposure corrected) would look pretty sweet without any HDR or much post work. That or build a mild HDR off of #5 to avoid ghosting of the wave.

All nitpicking aside I think these are the best I've seen you post for quite awhile maybe your best yet.

I feel like I am in ...well... the great plains ;) Posted by willskith Unfortunately, due to overuse of tonemapping, photography was gradually ruined and now stands with halos.

thank you very much for the feedback!
and thanks! I'm glad! I'm aiming for a new look and style of photography... not sure how to describe... But I have derived some inspiration from Richard T. Nowitz... I love his style of work, and subject matter...

that being said, again, I am glad people or at least yourself, are noticing an improvement

actually, most of that was rain drops... but there is ONE spot on the sensor that keeps appearing in the top left that needs a cleaning...

Great perspective, really gives the eye an anchor when moving through the picture.
Only one I would lose is the moon.

I know that the majority don't seem to like the moon shot, but I think it's lovely. The craters look amazing to me. But it's also 2:32 am here and I'm sleep deprived. But still .. Moon = pretty

The picture entitled "serene" has the best composition and contrast between harsh angles, and soft lines. Everything is accentuated perfectly and I think this is the best photo style out of all of them. =)

Haha, I'm writing a paper on women's rights.
..... not that women's rights are funny or anything.

I like the moon one. Very clear. That wasn't HDR was it?
