Overcast day in the chapel

In an old cemetery chapel near me. It was a rainy day. Didn't have much time to set up anything extraordinary, but would like to know what UER thinks all the same.

Both severly underexposed, 1 has no subject. Get some fill light going in #2 and it would be decent. Also clean up the composition and shoot at a harder aperture/lower iso

Yes, lower ISO, longer exposure. Try using a piece of black plastic to cover part of your lens in the 2nd shot. Go for a 5-6 sec exposure, and move the card after 3-4 seconds, it may not work the first few (or tens of) times, but it can give a great exposure sometimes.

Blah Blah Blah. Shut up and open the damn door.
"It's ok Officer, I watch a lot of cop shows on tv, so i am practically one of you guys." - sadly, that didn't work.

Ooooooooh..! That's a good idea!
I'm interpreting it as this:

Your second shot is overexposed in the upper area, and the bottom is underexposed. With a longer exposure your upper area is going to be REALLY overexposed, which is where the black plastic comes in to leave that portion of the shot exposed for a fraction of the total exposure time. Done right, you should end up with a correct exposure top and bottom.

I can definitely see this technique requiring multiple tries. Cool stuff nonetheless.

I've no sense, I lick electric fence; I put barbed wire in my pants and do a Celtic dance.
- My Canon 300D is beat to hell, a bit finicky, and a 'lil loose, much like everything else I own...

That makes sense. No need to fix blowouts in post.
