Third, final, last freakin' inning.... BALLS!

Alright. My last attempt at appeasing the gods of the Critique thread with this particular freakin' shot.

ISO 200, f/4.0, 18mm, 1/400sec.

(de)evolution:

...and something new (thank god, eh?) to look at:

ISO 100, f/4.0, 18mm, 1/160sec.

Feel free to slap me at any time.

I've no sense, I lick electric fence; I put barbed wire in my pants and do a Celtic dance.

cool shots,
but the angles makes it hard on the eyes and stomach.

They say "you can't judge a book by its cover!" I say "YES you can, if the cover has a girl on it with a cock in her mouth, its PORN!" if she's 18 and the cock is black, its GREAT porn!

I think I'm caught in a technique bell curve. I started off being afraid to use angles, and now I'm overusing them. My vertigo gauge needs calibrating.

It's not an easy subject to compose properly. I've taken plenty of pictures in (active) stadiums, and usually it's the people that make the shot.

You're getting there! I actually really like that moss in the final shot. I bet if you were able to get right down on the floor and showcase that moss while still being able to demonstrate that it's under a row of stadium seats, it would be awesomely compelling. That's the proof right there that this place is abandoned. Otherwise it just looks like an empty stadium.

The first shot is better than your previous attempts, I am just not a big fan of the tilt. I know, I am so picky.

EDIT: Ultimately, you are not going to ever be able to please everybody. You could get a perfectly composed, perfectly exposed shot at just the right angle of this stadium and someone would still come along and say, "meh." If YOU are happy with it, and like looking at it, that's what really matters most.

Well thank you! I like where you're heading with the moss. Bringing that more into the subject certainly would be more powerful. They were some big 'ol blobs of moss.

And that's some great advice in the edit! Great reminder that you can't please everyone all of the time, so you might as well please yourself.

They do seem to present some challenges, yes...
