tell me what do you think about this

is this a style of picture 'too easy' to do?, i mean , i think they are cool but i feel that they are too easy lol, and they don't worth anything...its the first time i post here, so tell me what you have do better in those pic (im just a begginer in photography)

me with 10 sec timer ,and running away taking this pose lol

i have a lot more to show you if you like (not just pose in dark like that lol)
those are in 3 different exploration and they are the 3 only i have of this 'style'
the 3 person in the photos are 3 different person lol

i did NOT do any change or photoshop (they are the original one), i try to always take the right angle and brigtness when i take the picture, but if i can modify someting in photoshop to make them better or if you have anything to teach me it's welcome !

sorry for my poor english lol

I appreciate a good silhouette.

The first one is definitely the strongest, having the best exposure and best colour. I think the second one isn't quite as impressive, at least as a silhouette shot. The third one is a bit more blown out.

One thing you might want to reconsider is the amount of blank space in the shots. One whole side of the first one is black, which seems like a bit much. For the second, I think you need to crop closer to the subject in order to capture it. The third, you get a lot of uninteresting wall.

Going off of what Steed said,

I like the wall in three but think if you had been back further towards the door so there was light all around you it might draw better focus to the subject, as the wall is rather distracting.

My kind of photo.

For me, the #1 photo is verry good, but would be much better if there was less black part at the right.

Be carefull with the white blast from the windows (see #3) on top of your shoulders

When you are shooting a silhouette you should compose with shapes not details. Number one is your strongest image here because of the simple shapes, the box on the left and things laying about, the person, the stripes going across the frame, etc. Silhouettes can be easy to do like you say, but if you start working with them as far as shapes and negative space go and have a game plan before shooting them your images will greatly improve.
I would rather look at a silhouette than a HDR any day of the week.
I do encourage you to try other things and not get sucked into one niche that limits yourself.
Speaking of Silhouettes, here is one of me out in Colorado.

with pics 2 and 3
maybe position the camera so the light is directly behind your head

another pic i would try is maybe an closeup face angle shot
( with the 3 backgrounds )
so that some of your facial features are shadowed

Like i said, i just have 3 picture of silouette like that, i post them because i love them and was wondering what was your opinion about this style.

I have a lot more picture , i will show you the other styles of picture that i take, thanks for your interrest and help

I will edit the 3 picture, because of my camera i dont have choice to take large amount of wall and dark space if i want all of my subject in the pic, i should have edit them before to post..

Are you edition a big percentage of your picture?

1 and 3 are the most interesting to me. 2, not so much. There just isn't a lot that grabs the eye. I like the way the wall shines in #3, and I don't find the blown highlights to be that bad, although the photo might look better without them.

love the silhouettes! i really like them all to tell you the truth. i think all the negative space in the shots ie: the black in 1 and 2 and mainly the wall in 3 add to the shot! gives it more of a perspective of how large the place is.

they are not easy sometimes! setting up a timer and trying to run away to get in the shot sucks sometimes! haha also then making sure you are placed correctly in the frame of the shot etc. i usually now a days set up some type of marker so i know where i need to head to. maybe that will help you out for next time.

also i do agree however with the blowout above the shoulders. i don't mind blowouts in some shots, it works, ie: the shot of fovea-photo out in Colorado, but above your shoulders kind of ruins the wall for me. i think if you were to go back there and move back towards the camera to eliminate that you would have a really cool shot because the details and texture in the wall are really interesting in the overall composition of the shot

lol... i can't use the translation tool because it will be worse lol

i was saying, are you editing (photoshop or other modification) all the picture you take?

me, 99% of my photo are untouched.

thanks K8, i know that the no3 sould have been perect without the blowout but light was everywhere lol, if i was getting up the bowout was in the legs etc...sometimes we can't do nothing, (hdr would repair that but...i don't love hdr )

i have a simple point and shoot camera of 7Mp...that's why the picture are not crisp ,i don't know if i can do something to reduce the blowout

I thought that is what you were asking, but I do not like to assume anything. Thank you for taking a minute to ask me again.

If you looked through the site that the linked photo of me in Colorado is located on, then I can say that a lot of those images at random have been edited digitally, but not all of them. That site is several years old and not very updated by me.

Current things that I shoot digitally are altered as little as possible. I prefer shooting with my medium format film camera, so with those images I typically have some dust spotting to do. These current images that I am talking about I put on my blog instead of that website. If you are interested in looking at my blog I will be glad to link it.

Keep shooting!
