Where the Buffalo roam

Just a quick trip to Buffalo with some of my classmates where we explored the city with PUSH Buffalo and a planner. While the exploring was light, the amount of education I acquired was huge: for example, three quarter's of Buffalo's Municipal Budget is funded through state aid and that while the city's population dropped, the number of young people with an education increased.

Enjoy the pics!

These are quite awesome. That cement company looks EPIC.
Your 6th photo is haunting. What's even more jarring is how the noise in the shot seems to work with the obfuscation of the silhouettes. Truly memorable.

Looks like you had a good time.

"...a planner"

This can mean only one person. He's a great guy.

Oh man, he was amazing. I was seriously was his biggest fan boy that day and was relentlessly asking him questions about every aspect of the city. Somehow, he managed to answer all of them and then provide answers to questions I had never thought of asking.

Yeah, there are few people with a more unsworn knowledge of buffalo urban issues or architecture in the city. And he only turns 30 on Sunday.

I showed him this thread in a bar in Toronto last night. He says hello.
