1.the most interesting of the set. the beds cut off, the corner of the bed is distracting.

2.this is boring and does absolutely nothing for me

3.this doesnt really tell anything, its under exposed, and shot at a weird angle

4.see number 2

5.you could have shot this straight on at the cat, and gotten rid of the hand

6.i dont know what youre going for here, but it sounds like youre mostly interested in the door knob. this is shot at an awkward angle, the subject is out of focus, the door is distorted, but this has nice light to it.

1 is the best shot, too bad you cut out half the subject
the last one wouldn't be too bad if you fixed the focal point.

i mean you're not going to tell me how it would look better as you've clearly pointed out, so obviously I need to play around with shooting doorknobs differently in order to make it more esthetically appealing for the masses.

so yea, i got it, won't shoot it like that again or will fix it.

I've added colors to the constructive criticism to make it easier for you to realize that she did in fact give you feedback through another members post. If you're not going to take it, you're best not asking for it. Your tendency to overlook what has already been explained is probably what lead her to ask if you fully understood the suggestions. I hope this helps you improve the quality of your photos in the near future.

im not going to do the work for you.

What's the point of chiming in if you aren't going to be constructive?

Kevin is spot on on all accounts. Most of these are snapshots, if that. You don't seem to have a grasp on what makes a photograph interesting, all you have is subjects without any real consideration for the lighting, composition, lines, and use of space. It makes me wonder how often you look at other people's photography; if you ever did you probably would have not posted any of these on the internet and expected them to be taken seriously. The hurriedness of these makes me wonder if you even used a tripod...

One important question (and idea to consider): How long does it take you to set up and take a single picture? Remember that you are shooting still life. Your subject is not going to move. Your scene is entirely static. You have no reason to rush. The longer you take to analyze a scene and take the photo the better it will be.

Spend a day/night finding inspiration in other peoples photographs. Read about composition. Get a tripod. Go try again.

I don't know anything about critiquing pictures.. I love houses though so I'm happy Number 4 reminds me of space invaders (the old game) for some reason. Thanks for sharing.

had a tripod.

small space so it was hard to get the shots I wanted, like the full bed.

house was the size of a postage stamp so i was difficult to get far enough back to capture shots, but I'm planning on going back and checking them out again and reworking a lot of these shots.

I didn;t mean for them to look hurried so I'll try to adjust that as well with better planned and well thought out shots.

I do, very often, look at other peoples work. this space just was not majorly conducive to my better work. so sorry for this.

K8 you should consider joining flickr. It's a little better than here for critiques. Plus it's a fantastic way to check out TONS of other really talented photographers. http://www.uer.ca/...d=1&threadid=77033
