| | | I agree with that. Camo is a really common sight where I live, which may be part of that. It's all about how you carry yourself as a whole, from appearance to behavior.

| | | That was me using the my new method of disagreement. I take all possible viewpoints and combine them into one, so you have to agree with me Seriously though, wear what's comfortable, bring what you think you need.

| | | I definitely agree with all the various posts but need to add that I think the single most important piece of clothing you can have while exploring is a pair of steel or composite shank boots. There are some really nasty things in a lot of places, that boot shank can keep the worst from happening.

| | | Posted by barefootpoetry I just wear casual street clothes that I won't cry over if they get ruined. Jeans, T-shirt, sneakers. I want to blend in and look like I'm just some student with a camera rather than a member of Special Ops. Sometimes when I want to feel like a secret agent I wear my black leather trenchcoat. http://farm5.stati...151_2a0ced68e4.jpg

http://farm6.stati...4_634696b73b_z.jpg Secret agent trenchcoats FTW! Yeah, although my operations are clearly very special, I wear jeans, tank tops, jackets in dark colors, boots or sneakers on my feet.

This thread is now about trench coats

| | | I always wear steel-toed boots, thick jeans, and a dirty hoody, all neutral colors of course. I bring a backpack for water, lights, manhole keys, etc, whatever I need. I have been known to dress like a homeless person and rub dirt all over my face/body, you know, go native!

Don't you guys ever have to run FAST? I've explored barefoot (and naked once, but that's a story for another time) without any trouble. I pack common sense, a flashlight, a multitool, and a can-do attitude. [last edit 4/12/2011 6:55 AM by AnAppleSnail - edited 2 times]

Needs moar trench coat
Okay, overused joke quota met, I also sport steel toes with jeans. I have a slingbag for my tripod and big torch, a mini Maglite (acquired courtesy of this thread: http://www.uer.ca/...d=1&threadid=63300), an awesome penlight that you can get from WalMart (http://www.walmart...ight-2-AA/14034165), this always handy multi-tool (again, courtesy of aforelinked thread: http://www.4imprin...dle-LED-Multi-Tool), and my Pentax K110D in its carrying case. Effective but still light.

I only run if I know I can get away, regardless of shoes. My "can-do attitude" comes standard issue! [last edit 4/13/2011 3:08 AM by Relocate - edited 1 times]
