i like 3 the best i think out of all of these. 1 and 2 are alright but they are still a little on the bright side to me. even with 3 you could have gone a few seconds more with the light painting.

4 i can see the object but still not well, this one i would have gone longer with the light painting.

and both 5 and 6 are super grainy, im not a fan of that. more than likely it was the power shot itself doing this and nothing you did, unless there are manual settings. in which case if you drop down the iso setting it will make your camera less sensitive to light and thus allow less graininess to occur.

i have the exposer turned all the way up and the ios set as low as it will go -_- i just need a better camera, i hate the grain look. i've been messing with the setting for a while trying to get it to go away, but all i get is sads lol

There's an addon for photoshop or a standalone program called noise ninja.
It costs but its well worth it.

Or if you use lightroom 3 then there's controls that can be used to take out the noise.

you can do that or in photoshop there is something. i think its a filter and its a noise reduction process. that should help too! play around with it, youll find it

yeah play with al the noise tools under filter in photoshop. if u get good at it u can take/ reduce noise/grain despeckle all that very well without quality loss
