| | Cultist camp in the woods; Denton Tx < on 3/17/2011 2:11 AM >
| | | This place was owned by a church in Denton that got shut down for "mis-practice". Can't find any more info on the church, I remember it was open when I was a kid, then one day it just shut down. This site isn't the church, but rather some grounds off in the woods where they did... Something? Not really sure but it was creepy. 1. Notice that it's a door? There's a weird door theme going on here.
2. There were tons of these little signs nailed to the trees. Weird.
3. More signs
4. One of about 5 crucifixes scattered around
5. Yes, this one does have nails in it, a footrest too. What the fuck.
6. Hmmm...
7. Yes, that is a crown of thorns
8. How insanely creepy
9. More signs
10. Still creepy
11. Empty...
12. Fantastic security, guys. Way to go.
13. Remember that door theme? Yeah.
14. Old barn on site
15. Old...
16. Goddamn it bums
17. Derp
18. "Sing Grace"
19. Old well
20. Ring of the elders
21. Baptism tub? Goat blood receptacle? Hobo bath? [last edit 3/17/2011 2:52 AM by Captain_Slow - edited 1 times]

| | | Let's play a game, there are 12 of those little red signs in the set of pics. First one to find them gets a internet cookie.

| | | Uh, let's see... Nation, God Bless, Give Thanks, two unreadable, two more unreadable, Peace, Community, Faithfulness, Sing, and Grace.
And where the hell do you even find that many doors? Actually, there seems to be a theme: Doors, signs, and mattresses.

| | | crucifixion was a show death, think of it as vicarious reinforcement. You were nailed up there so you slumped over. All your weight was on your chest muscles and diaphragm. Yes crosses sometimes did have foot rests, that way the condemned could push them selves up so they could breathe.
