This one is of an old homestead in Sydney's west that has been abandoned but is looked after and monitored by a government body.

The house was kept in the same family until the last member died leaving some trust to manage and look after it except they haven't bothered to touch the whole thing. Termites have eaten doors and architraves and the house is slowly collapsing in. Beautiful property thought

That good sir has just become one of my must see places in Sydney. Can you share where it is?

Of course, I just wish I could remember exactly where it was, it was on one of the old roads to Windsor, that much I remember. I decided to try and be historical detective one day and thought I would trace the colony's route out to Windsor through old tracks and I stumbled upon the house. I'm not sure if this was the one heading into Windsor on Old Windsor Road or if this is the one on Old Northern Road. Either way, trust me, you can't miss it. It's an early Victorian/Georgian style house

OoOoOoOo I love it! Hopefully it gets a wee bit more care soon. I would hate to see those termites destroy the furniture.

We were here...and it was glorious.

You should spend a night there and see if its haunted!

Freedom lies in pastimes that are a little odd and slightly illegal!
