whats to be done?

I feel this photo has potential, I also really like the fact that it already crops nicely to a 0.75 aspect ratio which is great for printing. But no matter what minor adjustments I make to it, I'm not quite satisfied with the results.

any suggestions?

It's never easy to get good pictures from a moving vehicle. You usually only have a split second to take a shot, and you're forced with either filling up your card with mostly crap or restricting yourself from taking too many. The one thing that bugs me most about this shot is how the perspective forces out the left side of the shot.

If I were to fix it in photoshop I'd probably attempt to straighten the lines of the interior of the bus. I'd also just for the hell of it try using content aware fill to remove the black cord hanging down the middle of the picture, but not sure if it's powerful enough.

that, and get rid of the mirror. it's the only modern looking thing in the photo and it's a bit annoying. maybe that sticker or whatever it is too. basically i think the window should be totally clear except for the blinds at the top.

Gotta be honest, I don't see the potential here. The sunshade track goes straight through your subject and is too big to edit out. This would only be worthwhile if you could crop the interior of the bus completely out of the photo, but there's too much of it to really do so.

Go back and take the picture not from inside a bus.

What Arntzville and Desmet said. Part of growing as a photographer is learning when to say NEXT and check out your next frame. This just isn't a compelling picture.

I have to agree with this. The idea of the picture isn't all that bad... A silhouetted framing of what a driver sees. I think it would be a lot better if it was a shot straight out of the window instead of being on an angle. All the extra crap hanging down that doesn't need to be there takes away from this picture (except the blinds, like Bipple noted - because they add to the framing technique). With a little bit of tweaking this could have been a great shot IMO.
