What if he's gay and freaky?

Well, then it's a party. Not necessarily a party I want to go to, but a party none the less.

Blah Blah Blah. Shut up and open the damn door.

Either way, he ain't calling the cops, hey?

We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit.

you know, believe it or not, you bring up a good point. I've always said, if you want to get away from a crime or get out of a barfight, just strip down naked. Most every man has a problem with tackling and or wrestling with a naked guy. If you robbed a bank naked except for a mask and the cops pulled up out front, you could just bolt and probably get away due to the pause the officers are going to have trying to play paper rock scissors to see who has to tackle the naked guy.

Just tell them what you're doing there and leave if they ask you to. I used to be a security officer. Job sucks. If any action is to be take they'll have to call the cops first. Also its a ton of paperwork for them and if you're just there to look they probably won't want to mess with it. Also, be polite.

I'll note that if they are law enforcement officers, in some circumstances they can detain and then arrest you if you are trespassing. In my state, if I am inside a house without permission (under any circumstances), or otherwise took unusual effort to enter (climbed a fence) or went past NO TRESPASS signs, then I am trespassing and could be arrested right there. But that requires them to be police officers...which is rare. These days any monkey can get a security certification and be hired.

And in most cases, even an arrest for simple trespass won't lead to a ticket. If you don't know what detention vs. arrest is, read up and figure out local laws so you know what you're risking.

I took criminal justice in college atleast in NY a off duty officer can only make an arrest if he personally witness's a felony accouring. alot of coppers also dont want to mess around with jurisdiction as they can get bitched out by there boss's for that.

*sigh*

Well, we scouted the place, and I think we'll have to abandon it.

Foot and vehicle patrols, REAL police, the MAJORITY of it is still active, and the one abandoned building we found (directly next to the active main building) is sealed off and would be hard to get into undetected.

Only managed to get this one pic on my camera phone of the abandoned one.

Get permission. That place is to cool not to enter.

or deer urine. This can mask your scent so that the guards are not alerted to the presence of a human. Then BAM! (of course this only works if the guards are deer and you are in fact, hunting and not exploring)

That stuff would ruin any dog's tracking ability for a day or two though. If you had the foresight to anticipate fleeing K9 unit it might not be a bad idea. Just don't get any on you.

Seconded. You could probably tell them it's for a school project. Say you are writing a report on the building, or area, or what ever would make sense, and you want to include pictures of the inside for your presentation.

I have seen first hand what a police dog will do to a person. I hope to God never to be that guy. Fun (and very helpful) fact: the K9 cops that come through here tell me that the dogs natural instinct is to pull back if you are moving, thus the tearing injuries. They are trained to bite yes, but if you were to be laying prone when they found you and did not move, 9 times out of 10 you may not get bitten. They will paw at you poke you hard with their nose, and generally make it sound like hell itself has come to get you. But most times they dont bite. Raise your head, move around etc., and they will immediately take that as a sign of aggression, and bite. HARD. Best bet, play dead before the dog gets there. You will end up in jail, but that is better than the jail hospital ward.

just gg allin it...wipe a mixture of your own blood, urine, and fecal matter all over your face and body. Guarantee no guards or police officers will want to even be within 50 yards of you, let alone want to touch you.

Hey guys.

There's a place nearby that I'm planning to go with some friends, and old mental hospital. We've been doing some research, and we've hit a little problem. While there's no fences or alarms or anything, it IS guarded.

Apparently there's an unguarded tunnel we can get through, and if so this shouldn't be an issue. But if we do get caught, what should we say?

P.S. We're not taking knives or stuff like that with us, as apparently that adds to the charge if we're caught.

There have been threads about this, but not for this particular situation. These aren't really police, but privately hired guards. The reason they're here is because a small number of the buildings of the facility are still actively used, and the abandoned parts are a hell of a good place to hide.

I think they only patrol outside, and not in the building itself, so getting in is the hard part.

We're going to scout it probably within the next week. Anything in particular we should look for in order to make entry easier?

Thanks for any advice.

I have not read any earlier comments so I apologize if I am covering any ground thats been covered already.

First of all, in most of the US, most hospitals are "guarded".
In New England where I am from most of the newer psychiatric facilities are built on the same land as their elders, that or there is brand spanking new condos/apartment complexes, or the state just doesn't want you in them. There are a couple completely unsupervised state hospitals in the area, but they are few and far between. 7-8 years ago it was a different story, you could walk around for days uninterrupted, some hospitals luckily are still like this, but not many. There is no threads about this "particular situation" (that I know of) because its usually the norm. Second, if there aren't any cops, then no worries (that doesn't mean be a nuisance and make your presence known), if your face to face with security and run, they cant get a hold of state cops until far after your gone. This is a different story if staties are on grounds all the time (I would still advocate running like hell). Third, dont carry anything but necessities, every state has different laws, and what you carry can be a thin line between a misdemeanor trespassing and felony breaking and entering and or criminal mischief. Its good to know your state laws so check them out. All in all, live life, go in their take control of some sweet flicks, and leave feeling like a new person...

Just keep a bottle of good old spirit of ipecac with you at all times. Handy if they're contemplating putting you in the back of a cruiser. While they do have those plexiglass plates to protect them from you grabbing at them, those things are not waterproof. or vomit proof.

I carry a bottle as part of my EDC incase some douchenozzle interrupts my day with sheer, unabashed dumbfuckery. Like snide, condescending store clerks, or rude wait staff. Rather than punching the offending person, I can deliver the remnants of the taco bell I had for lunch all over their person.

I find this greatly fulfilling.

Um, then just sneak past them, ESPECIALLY if they aren't cops. They are just there to detour people from entry, doesnt mean they can stop you or will even see you.

And the "secrete tunnel" is probably total bullshit from some kids wet dream, most of such stories are a waste of time, forget it. Just walk up to it where the guards cant see you, then stay inside the building out of site.
