Found these on google maps, and walked down to them. the are south of the train station, and you can walk along an elevated levee where I assume the train track used to be.

A friend and I parked at some random place at the end of rock island, and walked down the tracks. It was Sunday and we didn't see a train, and I've only encountered one railway security dude in all the walking I've done, he just said to walk back and not mess with anything.

That area is the funniest place I've gone to offroad.

Not me in the video btw, but I almost did.

Insanity. I was wondering if that had been done, I could tell people had been out there, but that's really cool.

It's actually not that dangerous. You always have something under you to support you if you manage to slip off. It would just suck to have a wheel slip off and you would be high centered if you had no one else around to help you.

True, the bridge definitely wouldn't collapse. So it's not all that dangerous, just seems it I guess. How do you get into this area? Is at an off roading place or just a good spot?

It's an extensive off-roading area. Also a good spot to hang out. We had a picnic there one time at the bridge.
