Haven't stopped by with pictures in a while, but rest assured that Milwaukee draining hasn't let up. Pics in my flickr!

Sweet pictures man. I like the review picture a lot and the root one. Your use of color adds a nice dimension to the pictures. You are also great with the position of shadows/light in your shots.

Good stuff!

Very, very cool! I wish I were more into draining, we could meet up but I haven't got the money or aesthetic to go out and buy waders. I'm glad you can enjoy it and take such amazing, vibrant photos!

Thanks all. Draining was super addictive without the photography - now it is an obsession. Glad I have something to bring back that people can appreciate.

Broke my link to this shot, so here it is again:

And a new one:

These are both truly excellent, beautiful shots, Haveg0als! I love the angle, and the running water in the green one, but the extreme depth and the appropriate "cool blue tone" of the ice one blows me away as well. Excellent work all in all.

You should come to Minneapolis. We've got some awesome drains here I think you'd enjoy.

Are Milwaukee drains super flooded to enter into? Here in the Twin Cities, all you really need is a set of rubber boots to go draining. The water level, especially during the winter, is pretty low and waders are not required.

Same thing here, the water level only spikes in spring when all the snow melts. Other than that the water level is stable and quite low. Just last night I did a big 15 footer with just work boots and it was fine.

the only places milwaukee drains get full are the deeper sewers and the collecting chambers under manholes.

unfortunately, being so close to the lake and having a high water table means no deep tunnels except sanitary (unlike MSP).

It may not be like MSP, but you'll find no complaints here. We continue to find new spots and press existing spots to the limits of our gear and psychological tolerance for the underground. The appetite for crouching and smallness has gotten pretty insane as well.

To add to the waders conversation: I really don't like to get turned back by deep water but my interest in purposely submerging my cuts or god forbid my uh, "openings" in bacteria water is quite low. I realize a lot of people enjoy draining in sandals and shorts and I can respect that. Boots or waders for this drain soldier.

And Petticat, if you were talking to me, thank you!
