Thanks for the advice guys, refurbished 7D is something I actually never thought of, and as far as new glass goes I can't upgrade as much as I'd like because I'll be going off to university next year and I should really be saving more for that. I'm contemplating selling the 10-20mm in order to help finance an upgrade.

Do you have an old Canon camera? Go on eBay, grab a broken Canon digital camera (like $10 shipped). Call Canon's loyalty phone number, and say you have an old Canon camera. They will let you buy a 7D that's refurb for about 20% off the retail price in exchange for your old one (they send you a box to ship back the old one). Comes with warranty and it's direct from Canon, so no need to worry about gray-market cameras and over-seas warranties.

I've been wanting to add a small point and shoot to carry around, because I can't bring my DSLR gear everywhere I go. Thinking of the Powershot S90.

The 600mm is a fairly old mirror lens, it's only manual focus so I doubt it would fetch much.
Arecibo the only old canon I have is my parents old point and shoot from the era of when digital was just coming out, I'm not sure if it works or is broken but do you think that would qualify when calling canon?

I figure it might. They call it the Canon Loyalty Program, not just the Canon Digital Camera Loyalty Program I think any old Canon camera qualifies.

Call them at 866-443-8002, choose option 2 and tell the rep what you have. Then ask how much a refurb 7D is. They ship it 2nd day FedEx for free.

//edit: read up more on this, seems like it has to be digital. but like I said, go grab a broken one with water damage on eBay for $10.
