I'll be in New Orleans exploring with FireworksOrStars in the range of Dec 26-31 (approximately; those dates aren't totally definite). Anyone interested in joining us and exploring there during that time? We have plenty of locations planned (they aren't hard to find in Nola). There is some incredible stuff to be seen in New Orleans.

I'll also be in Birmingham probably in the range of Dec 22-26 if anyone wants to join me there.

This thread is relevant to my interests! I might be down if this includes heavy drinking on, but not limited to, New Years Eve.

You should definitely join us! Heavy drinking on New Years Eve can be easily arranged.

OP should've read "Bring a hand grenade if you go to Bourbon Street"

Seriously though, be very careful wherever you go. Always know what's going on around you, whether you're in an abandonment or walking down a busy street.

Yeah, I've been to New Orleans before, I know how it is there... I'll be sticking with some locals and I'll be careful.

Good memories there. Fireworks, you remember that homeless dude that was pouring out a trail of liquor that seemingly led to our car while holding a cigarette in the other hand?

I live in New Orleans and have shot many awesome locations here. I usually like to go by myself, I feel like you have a much larger chance of getting caught being in a group. What sites do you have in mind? This city is cleaning things up surprisingly quick.

Orrrrrr stay the hell away from Bourbon. The only people who go there are tourists, and pickpockets know it. Trust me. Do some quick googling, there are PLENTY of nice clubs and bars in the city, that won't leave you mugged.

Depending on how old you are, keep away from Maple Street bars, The Boot, and Tucks. Those are the Tulane/Loyola bars. Unless you're into sloppy college kids. Then go for it.

Adventure is out there.

I like some of Maple Street. But then again, I'm a college-aged kid ;P
But yeah, stay away from those other places. And TJ's. EW.

Were any of you one of the two cars I saw at Six Flags today? One even came up and asked me a couple questions about the place.
