I like #1 best

#2 the rail feels like it's in that unhappy middle ground between being too much and too little in the frame.

Some lens distortion in #4 and the pipe junction is a little oddly placed

#5 crop out the weird thing on the right pole at the bottom.

#s 6, 7, 8 all seem a little too blurry.

Just my 0.014 euros

Gravity, it's not just a good idea, it's the law.

I dunno, none of these really seem to have a subject or a point. They could be improved by different cropping, making them sharper, etc., but I'd say your priority should be composing the shots themselves. 5 is the strongest shot, but even there the composition seems kind of arbitrary/meh.

I'd have to say that an interesting subject and composition is more of an issue, the lock&chain is well done but it's been seen too many times to stand out unless you take a new approach.

I really like the shadows in the first one. I would have tried to emphasize that in a more abstract artsy way, but that's just me.

Thanks for the input everyone, like I said I'm still new with my camera and trying to find new ways of doing things

I would also like to see some more done with the shadows on #1. Also, is there a red brick building I see peeking through the mesh? if so, I would try to get there at a time of day where you could use the shadows and play with the mesh for a view of the buildings.

#5 definitely your best shot, though I have a strange affinity for #3.

And once again, to just repeat others, the composition is just slightly off. Work on setting up the shot just a little, like in the handrail shot. It is an interesting idea to try out, but it's just slightly crooked. Either make it straight or really work the angle. when its just slightly crooked, it feels, I dont know, offputting?

I dont know, they are probably still all better than mine. lol
