I have got to say this is the most amusing and real life thread response ever! Since my daughter served in Iraq, I knew she would enjoy this. Needless to say, she laughed her @ss off too!

Yay for double posts!

Is she cute?

It depends on what you need. I saw some kids lugging big light rigs and a portable generator in Belgium.

I like to bring my dog bowser with me when I explore. He eats any hobos (or unruly homos in assless chaps) we come across. Gitem' bowser, gitem'

If you want to protect the locations you love to explore, don't talk about them online in public!
If you want to make exploring friends, send people private messages! Meet up in real life! Get off the internet!

Local girls don't exist anywhere.

Holy God in Heaven! I didn't run around in Iraq with this much stuff! I'm going to go through this the only way I know how. One at a time. Forgive me if I end up making you feel stupid.Your more than welcome to do the same thing to anything I say.

I would start off with this as the rudimentary basic/mandatory load out:
-There is nothing rudimentary, basic, and or mandatory about this.

Daypack - do not use military camouflage, use civilian or LE gear
-As opposed to my night pack?

Cover story - this is the most important part of your kit, will go over it later
-I knew I forgot something. Heaven forbid I have to make one up on the spot. "Can you hang on just a moment, Officer? I left my cover story in my truck."

Notebook & pen
-To write down my cover story so I don't forget it.

Camera(s)
-This is something you deem mandatory?

Tripod(s)
-Really? Multiple tripods?

Audio/video essentials
-Uhhh... What? I'm supposed to pack a tv and stereo in my daypack?

Water
-ok. Can't argue this one.

Rations/energy bars
-Or this one.

Multi tool
-No. You got a good one here too.

Knife, folding
-Sense, common

Light(s)
-the better to see you with, my dear.

Hand sanitizer
-Or you could just... you know... NOT stick your hands in your mouth after crawling through the sewer.

1st aid kit
-If you do something bad enough that requires first aid, you probably won't be able to fix it with a first aid kit. If you just scraped your knee, man up and put a Spiderman band-aid on it when you get home. Or just rub some hand sanitizer on it till then.

Bug spray - seasonal
-I refer you to my earlier "man up" statement.

GPS/compass
-So that when I'm standing in an abandoned building, I'll know which wall is the North wall.

Radio
-... who's on the other end of it? Do I just talk to myself?

Gloves
-This makes more sense than hand sanitizer. But I am surprised you didn't put "gloves, latex under gloves, leather".

Toque - seasonal
-.... this has been touched on enough.

Balaclava - seasonal
-Also, your ninja sword, throwing stars, and blowgun.

Rain Jacket
-I would just suggest if you have a problem with rain, don't go exploring in it.

Dog/bear repellant
-Really? Bear repellant? BEAR repellant!? Ooh! How bout a pointy stick!? That way I can try to stab myself in the brain through my eye when all I managed to do was piss off a 500 pound animal with claws and teeth with my BEAR REPELLANT!

Smokes & matches
-Again, this falls under mandatory? What about for people that don't smoke? Might as well have added "crack pipe". I don't smoke crack but hey, it might be handy to have. You never know.

For "Low level entry":
-you seem to have confused this list with your "what to bring along to kidnap someone" list.

Facemask
-So they can't pick you out of a line-up.

Eye protection
-For when the cops mace you.

Latex gloves
-So you don't leave fingerprints.

Glow sticks
-For throwing a rave.

Chalk
-For the outline of your body after you try to use your BEAR repellent!

Para cord
-I'm assuming you mean 550 cord, though I still can't figure out why you would need it. In case the cops forgot thier handcuffs?

Duct tape
-OH! This is for the forgotten handcuffs! Then why do I need the para cord? To hang myself with instead of allowing myself to be captured? You should have just put "cyanide pill hidden in fake tooth".

For "High level of entry":
-Oh! ok. now I see what your doing. Your talking about high and low level stuff as actual elevation words. Gotcha. ok. Well let's see what we have for here...

Fence climbing tools
-your hands and feet? Did I leave those in the car with my cover story?

Knife, fixed
-...Why is this needed to climb a fence? Should have put "hook, grappling".

Binoculars
-To look at where your going to climb to?

Elbow/knee pads
-AHH! The best thing you've come up with yet! For when you try to bribe the cops with a blowjob!

For "Severe breeching":
-Define for me "severe breaching". Cuz to me it seems like "severe breaching" would just lead to "severe bruising" and 'severe bleeding".

Rope
-To quote the Boondock Saints, "It's ridiculous! Probably based on some stupid shit ya saw in a movie! And here I am AGAIN all tyin' myself up with rope! What is the deal with you and rope? Honestly!"

Bump helmet
-Also effective, ducking.

Harness
-A sex swing? I guess in case the bribe kneepad thing didn't work.

Harness essentials
-Assless leather chaps and a ball gag.

Barbed wire gloves
...ok. I know what your talking about from stringing C-wire with the Army. But why in the hell would a civilian need these? Barbed wire is not that bad that you need razor wire gloves. And folks, if you come across razor wire, your probably breaking into an active prison. I suggest leaving it alone. But if you decide to do it anyway, you can pick up some nifty barbed wire gloves at your local Wal-Mart. You'll find them right next to the balaclavas and the cans of BEAR REPELLENT!

...And that's it for me. I'm done...

And I found users that didn't read this posting, as they couldn't refer to the entry and breaching tools. This posting should be mandatory for all members to know about the different types of entry and breaching tools.

Why would you NEED, much less WANT beer repellant?

I drink gasoline for breakfeast and beer for dinner!

If you are worried about getting malaria or rabies from beer? I hear one of the upcoming meetups will be exploring clothes-optional. You might want a lot of beer as memory repellent, in that case.

Sounds like a money making opportunity to me. I could show up with a few cases of beer and give the explorers the choice of paying me not to get nekkid or buying the beer to wipe out the memory. Win-Win!
