|  | | | This is what I've been able to piece together about this gorgeous building. It was originally the Saint Joseph Academy of New Orleans. Pre-Katrina, it was being used as Andrew J. Bell Junior High School. It's hard to imagine that this whole building was fully functional even before the storm, because the decay this place has undergone is staggering in places. Whole staircases have fallen, and I stepped through the floors in parts. Getting to the attic was....well, fun to say the least. Enjoy.

Glad I got in when I did. Place is pretty destroyed. I came across two squatters also. They had tents set up =P

hahahaha! Yeah, not the best part of town. Just went back this morning to take this shot of the facade. They really have sealed up most abandonments all over the city ever since the deaths of those squatters. Like you said, there were metal sheets covering every window and door around the entire first story.
