| | | Yeah, I think it all depends on the location. Some places are quiet, and others... not so much. Having something happen to you in the dark with your dominant hand holding a camera probably won't turn out well unless you're the guy from Ninja Assassin. Sometimes you have to stop and ask yourself "is this really worth the risk?" Sometimes it is, and other times it might not. I'm sure a big part of this steps into the paranormal part of things. That feeling like someone is right behind you to the point where you can almost hear it, and then you turn around and nothing is there.... while your alone.... can really mess with your imagination. I also think about rabid animals a lot. A knife and boots can help that one.

| | | I agree the more times you go back the more that magic wears off. Get familiar, get comfortable. The anticipation of what could go so horribly wrong is what will psych you out. My most gut wrenching experience to date was stepping on a guy in the dark who was sleeping under junk. He screamed like hell and I think we both shit just a little. When you feel the fear you know you are still alive.

| | | I don't ever get creeped out while I'm at a location but I do concern myself with certain things. Things like snakes, wild animals, and wild people mainly.

| | | I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
Or you could just become a crazed axe murderer yourself, and then you wouldn't have to worry.

| | | Take a girl with you. Then you have to pretend you aren't scared!
(Actually, fake it till you make it works, so this will actually lessen your fear. After time, some nights and some places are easier than others. It never goes away and stays away. Thank God.)
