| | | 1000+ Foot Tunnel Near Cleveland, Ohio < on 11/3/2010 6:39 AM >
| | | My first exploration! The tunnel is 1000+ feet long and 6 feet tall. It's a creek that was routed underneath a housing development. The entrance is at N 41.4667 W 81.90360. It's just off the street and behind a few bushes. My visit was early in the morning and I was alone. Dark & scary, your footsteps echo loudly in the tunnel. It was so surreal! I wish I took more photos, but I will do that another time. The tunnel is not straight. It bends a few times and opens up right behind a large mansion. The exit is at N 41.46523 W 81.9067. I saw a pair of glowing eyes looking back at me when I got to the end of the tunnel. lol, I'm sure they were just a raccoon's eyes.

| | | Nice, but posting exact coordinates is usually frowned upon. I'm surprised that in that neighborhood, no one called the cops on you.

| | | Well, you're off to a good start using Acme Mapper to find underground creeks, that's how I've found a lot of my drains. But as Splumer said, careful about location posting. I know you're proud of it, but I cringe when I see coords posted.

I'll leave the coordinates off in any future posts. I wish I could modify that now but it won't let me. I'll ask a moderator if they can do it. About the police: I don't think I did anything illegal. They need to put up some signs and indicate it is off limits if it even is off limits! I could be wrong though and I was very careful just in case. Speaking from first hand experience, draining is NOT illegal, at least in Oklahoma and Texas. I dont know what other states say, but its generally legal. Though you can still get the fuzz called on you.

Well, you may have crossed private property to enter the drains, but you don't need to be doing anything illegal for Rocky River-ites to call the cops.
