|  | | | I watched the documentary called "Urban Explorers: Into the Darkness" on Netflix. After seeing it, i did a google search and found this site. I've been doing this stuff for a long time and i had no idea there was a ton of people that were into the same stuff as me. Anyone else in the same boat?

| | | | I think it's a little weird for people to watch the documentary without knowing of or at least being interested in UE...all the decay and mold and rust, it's really an aesthetic, and a lot of people just think it's gross or dangerous.
I got into urbexing because I love taking pictures of decay and rot, and I was on some railroad tracks one day and my dad pointed out I was next to an old Coke and Gas company. COMMENCE OBSESSION!

I think it's a neat concept to try to network a group that you would otherwise think impossible to network. It looks like it's been working for a while now.

| | | | I found it through doing research on the Belchertown State School. I wanted to see what everyone else was shooting there, since all I knew was what I was doing. I had *no* idea there were other people that enjoyed the same thing- nontheless the fact that there was a name for it!

| | | | I've loved abandonments since I was a kid. When I really got into it as an adult I was googling locations and came across infiltration and then uer. The documentary was neat. It was cool to see locations I'll probably never get to see and to see people from the forums on there as well.
