Greetings from Adelaide :-)

Hey, my name is Jason! Anyone from Adelaide keen to go for a bit of exploring around town here?

I've always had an interest in Urban Exploring. I have tried to drag mates and ex GFs for a bit of a go a few times in the past, but didn't have any serious takers.

Let me know if your keen to go out and have a bit of a gander. I live in the Inner North west of town and already scouted a few locations, but would be more fun if you can enjoy it with other like minded people.

I probably left my run too late?? Seemed the scene was happening in the 90's (before the obsession with security relating to infrastructure re: 9/11) but still would like to take part in the present day.

Even just exchanging locations and ideas would be great!

Anyway whoever you are, I hope you having a good one.

See you on the flip.

Jason.

Hey Jase, welcome to the site! I'm a Melbourne UEer. I was in SA a few months ago for the giant cuttlefish breeding season, spent a few days in Adelaide checking out your pandas and stuff.

It's almost exactly 600 miles due west of Canberra. ;)

Are you into drains or just topsides? I know a few explorers in Adelaide but they're kinda a close knit group, I'll mention that you're interested.

Thanks for your reply Neko. Ha Ha, is Adelaide that obscure in the world of geography. Its the capital of South australia!

How is the UER scene in Japan?

Jason.

Cheers Buddy! Thanks for your greeting Its seems the Pandas are the big thing in Adelaide at the moment. or it was a few months ago. Where did you go for the cuttlefish breeding season? Is it Whyalla? or near there. Im a blue swimmer man myself! Love scratching (catching blue swimmers) and looking forward to the hot days!

How is it in Melbourne nowdays mate havnt been there in a fair few years. Is there many abandoned buildings/drains to check within the CBD?

Have a good one.

Jason.

Both Buddy. At the moment i'm keen on checking out old industrial areas (there is a few in my local turf that has kept me occupied so far) but when rain finally clears off, I will be hitting the underground!

I emailed I think Wizard?? a while back, on the Cave Clan website, but no reply yet, so I dont know whats up. But if you could put me in touch mate, that would be cool.

I've been down a couple so far (near Flinders Uni and the botanic gardens one), but keen on more! Especially round my turf.

Cheers for the reply.

Have a good one.

Jason.

Always wondered why it was called South Australia, when Tasmania wasn't... UER here is pretty neat! We've got magazines, books, and web sites dedicated to it there's so much. See ya! Neko.

I think you will find that most people in Adelaide who have been actively exploring in the past are not exploring much anymore.

I believe this is because there are not a great deal of locations and so exploring things for the 2nd or 3rd or 4th time is not as fun.

It happens in waves though so if you start a stir you might find someone local who will be just as keen.

Or just start exploring stuff...!

Yah. The scene has died down somewhat. New locations are rare too - the problem is they get ripped down too fast because land value is so high (developers are in a hurry to make $$$). Some of us are just getting old(er) to bother and getting caught up in other life stuff...many others have moved interstate and still others have just....lost touch. And like Nivelo said...you might be the one to get the scene back on track. Your destiny awaits you.

You may think you can fly.....but you'd better not try it.
