I'm a new member, long time floater on the forum, and mainly a photographer. I am 21 and located in Newfoundland, Canada.
I want to be embraced by the community, what else can I do besides just posting?
Also, can I be adopted by a high level member for guidance and help?

The more you put out there, on the internet and in real life, the more people will trust you.

| | | | Since this is a forum, posting is really going to be your best bet. Without that, you're completely invisible to the community.
You'll especially want to be active in your regional forum so that you can get to know other explorers in your area. Plan a meet-and-greet for your area if there isn't one already- that's the best way to meet folks.
Just a heads up, asking for hand-outs from more experienced explorers tends to be frowned upon. Show that you're willing to take initiative and post some stuff that nobody's seen before, even if it's just some old houses. Asking to be adopted - that's maybe a little creepy.
If you can't find the answer using search, Feel free to post questions here in the rookie forum if you need some guidance.
