Some recent photos

Well, I haven't been on this forum in a while but I'd figure I'd post some of the shots from my flickr that I got around to editing.

These first four are from the same location, probably well known to most 905 drainers/explorers, if not go find it! It's a storm water retention pond, or flood control or something, all I know is that it's connected to several drainage systems and when it rains it all comes in here, before leaving again to go elsewhere.

Over exposed light but I like the shot, got stuck under this bridge for about an hour afterwards as workers from the nearby yard parked a train on the rails and did some sort of inspection or something on it.

I really like #1 (colours) and #2. The hydro lines are somewhat distracting though and almost give the impression of a wobbly image taken w/o tripod.

The last three don't do much for me though mainly as there is nothing much of interest to be seen.

I agree about 1&2, but I think the last one could have been improved by centering the divide between the train and the light so you have some cool green/light symmetry, the lines overhead would also radiate out from the divide in the center that way.
For the first, I would say that the reflection in the water detracts from the cool shapes made by the water and pond scum, but it's a cool image.

Thanks guys, I mainly posted #3 because it was one of the few shots I had edited and uploaded of that location so I thought I'd throw it in there, I even named it 'Not sure about this one..', I'm going to take some more shots of the location, I though the 2nd last was a good preview, and I had edited it because a lot of the focus of my flickr page is to document legal/illegal graffiti pieces and murals, as for the train one, I'll be going back to that location and it's VERY busy with trains so I'll bring a tripod with me and see what I can get as far as more centered shots, that one was a quick hip shot as the train went by that I thought was interesting.

I hope I'm not going against the rules with this, bump/addition to the thread.

More of an edit than purely a photograph as originally those two pieces were on the same wall, but it was in a fairly tight alleyway and I was using my point and shoot so had to shoot them from an angle, edited them together in photoshop, messing around with the perspective settings to try to make it look like they were painted and the shot was taken in the corner of an alleyway, there's a few things I should fix in the bricks, when I was editing it, oh well.

I actually really like the addition at the end. I feel like your photoshopping doesn't need to be perfect since the picture is so vibrant. I can see a lot of detail in the brick and painting anyway. I like it! I'm no professional though, so wait to hear what the good guys have to say haha.

I love that absolutely BURNING sunset! #1 is gorgeous as well!

We're all just trapped between the stippled earth and the stubbled sky.
