Candelight Trails Houston Demolition

Hey everyone, I was literally JUST in a patient's room doing his Chest Xray, when I saw on the news on his TV that they were demolishing the long abandoned Candelight Trails Condos in north west Houston, and was wondering if anyone had explored it and taken any pictures that they want to post up.

I remember reading about it, and hearing people say that it was a horrible place for crime, prostitution, and drug dealers, but that didn't stop liquorhead from going back into the zombie hospital! Wondering if some of the rest of you had the same balls/lack of self concern.

Aparently the city sued many of the owners of the condos for not keeping up with them and letting all of this go on, but now they are supposedly going ahead with the demolition today. Last chance to get pictures!

Hell no, stay away from this place. My husband and I scouted this place earlier this evening after reading this post. Most everything over in that area is abandoned except for the fact that it is littered with crackheads and thugs. Pretty sure we where about to get carjacked on our way out of the culdesac. Saw people going in and out of crack houses and doing deals out in the open. My husband had to dart down a side street due to a group of thugs standing out in the middle of the street blocking our exit. We didn't even feel safe stopping long enough to take pictures from our locked car.

Stay the hell away from this place. Going in there would be suicide!!!

LOL. Great insight! Thanks for taking the time to look. I guess the city isnt demolishing it yet after all seeing as all the crackheads are still there.

They had heavy equipment out there and have begun the demo on one of the complexes. How ever there are about half a dozen more good sized complexes around Candelight Trails that are also abandon. They have allot of work ahead if the city wants to totally clean the area up.

Wow, that's pretty crazy and scary. Sucks that they hang out at places like that. Especially for those who would like to explore them. Glad you guys were able to get out of there.

They are definitely not in the best area but suicide ? I didn't see any crackheads or thugs inside. The front gate was open so you can just drive around back.
You need to just buy one of these :

I like the new watermark Secret! I guess after that one guy stole your pics you don't mess around huh!

I would like to see the inside of some of these, but I am not taking my semi-pale white ass over there with a brand new camera anytime soon. I think I will just chalk this one up to "would have been cool to go there".

EDIT:

Not that I'm scared of getting jumped, I can handle my own, but Bringing a camera (which i would want to), seems like it would be asking to get a knife pulled on me. I just dont need that.
