| | | Hey guys, These are a few of my first pictures i've taken while UE. I'm new to photography and would love to get some feedback on my work and how to improve it. Please feel free to comment on my pics. All feedback is greatly appreciated. I'm Shooting with a Nikon D3000 with a kit lens (18-55mm).
If anybody has any techniques to improve my images or has any suggestions. Please let me know. -Evan [last edit 9/11/2010 3:50 PM by Boogie - edited 1 times]

| | | I'm no expert but this looks like some pretty good stuff. My thoughts: #1 This is the most visually interesting shot. The eye is drawn to the door, which is just off-center enough. #3. You've cut off part of your subject at the bottom. #4. I like the composition in this one. You might try not to shoot from the same stand-up angle as much, try variations. and keep posting! ................Kurtz

| | | #1 - Nice shot, I like the blue lighting. I think it's a little overexposed, though. Did you have a tripod? I've found that's the only way to get everything you can out of a low-light situation like that. #2 - I like the lighting here, too, but not so much the dark bars on either side (door frame?) I would have taken another step or two into the room. #3 - You need to zoom in on that stuff in the lower right. The vast expanse of peeling paint above and to the left makes the shot less interesting. #4 - Really nice shot. Again, though, I think it's a bit overexposed, and I see a little camera shake- a tripod would have helped you achieve a crisp shot at a lower exposure. #5 - Interesting subject, and I like the depth of field. I would have panned right a bit more, though. I think there's a little too much emptiness along the left edge, and in un-balances the image. Bingo Ball - interesting subject, and I like the lighting and exposure. I would have zoomed in a bit more, and let the ball be lower and to one side. Or, if you wanted it to be smack in the middle, zoom in a lot more.

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store. |
