Fake bracketing experiment

I took one exposure but then duplicated it, brightened one and got rid of the sky.
I thought it looked good. What do you think? Is the ground/non-sky still too dark?

I'm sure this has been tried before and I'm sure there is a reason that people take multiple exposures. I just don't know what it is...

EDIT: After some thought I doubt this would have worked under most circumstances. The sky here wasn't so bright that everything else came out as black.

You should try this: http://www.uer.ca/...d=1&threadid=49601

Here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you.

I would bump up the contrast in the foreground.
