Try Bing Maps to scan around your area before heading out to give you an idea where to look..Otherwise Brownfields sites are often published online..some of those can be good fun. I talked to a friend of mine and he mentioned a big building with busted out windows in his area, and I drove through a really old beat down industrial area around where I live. We ended going with the place he found and it was a blast. After he saw the place the first time (by cruising around), he looked it up online to figure out what it is, and how long it had been abandoned.
