| | | I remember going to Mountasia when it was still open to lose at the arcade games and play putt putt golf. It was more fun going after it was shutdown and falling apart. (Note: These pictures are from December 2007, the building/land looks nothing like this anymore, except for the castle. It looks like the owner is tired of seeing it sit vacant; the castle recently got a fresh coat of paint). These first pictures are from a small building separate from the castle area. I believe the go-kart tickets were bought here. I don't remember what else this building was used for.
Maintenance log. This is probably why Mountasia was shut down...everything was falling apart and breaking!

Geez I looked like a hippie a few years ago.
A small hatch led to the inside of the mini castle
A bumper boat area on the side of the castle. Story time... My brother and I were messing with something by the dock area and had our backs turned to the castle. My girlfriend(at that time) shook my shoulder saying there was someone inside the castle staring at us. I disregarded what she was saying because i was so enthralled with what my brother and I had found( I can't remember what we were doing. Maybe preparing him for taking off in the water with one of the bumper boats[shown in one of the following pictures]). She also didn't seem too concerned that someone was watching us. After we were done exploring we went back into the castle where the unknown person was seen last. My woman kept talking about how she saw someone in there, but I was a jerk to her and never listened to what she said. We finished exploring and went home. A week later my girlfriend gets in an argument with me over me never listening to her. Then she uses the "guy staring at us" as an example. I asked her what he looked like and she said all she could see was a big beard. To this day I don't know who was watching us from inside the castle. I'm guessing it was a homeless guy...either that or a zombie.

| | | Ah man...I wish I had gotten into urban exploring when this was still around. I think about it every time I pass by there, wondering what it was like. From what I can see (and what I've heard from other people) is that there is another business out there, but the castle is still there. The new owners haven't done anything with it yet. Great pics! Thanks for this post. Would love to see some more if you have them. How long ago was it that you did this exploration?

| | | The pics are from December of 2007. Indeed, there is another business on the empty part of the land.
