I got a camera!

Nothing great but good enough to start learning. What do I need to learn about this one?

I realize the bottom left is a little blown out. Is that always bad? Would you clone stamp it out or would you just have waited until the sun was shining somewhere else?

what type is it? DSLR or point and shoot?

I wouldn't worry about the blow out on such a picture, since it isn't taking away from anything, really.
But if you're using a DSLR it's easy to get rid of.
Don't clone stamp for that, if you really want to get rid of it. Use a curves layer, or something to that effect.

Thanks! I have no idea what a curves layer is but I'm sure google does. I'll look it up.

I have an old Canon PowerShot so I guess it's a point and shoot? Is anything that isn't SLR considered point and shoot?

Yeah it's a point and shoot. Idk how to change settings in them
As far as I'm aware anything not DSLR is a point and shoot

Constructive critique... I might suggest working on composition.

I understand you are just starting out, as you progress over time, try to take photos of things that the viewer will find interesting.

Eg. lonely chair shots, hallway corridors, peeling paint... the overly done stuff
