| | | All of these were shot with a shitbox $200 Canon SD Powershot. I wanted to see if it was possible to do any 'good things' with nothing but a cheapie digital camera and a tripod.

Agreed. I think the most interesting one is the fourth; it's always sort of cool to see the moon in daylight. ~Teh Chappie
"By the early 1970s, techniques of tape manipulation were being superseded by synthesizers, especially the Moog synthesizer, which could theoretically produce any type of pitch or timbre, but usually made a sound like a cat chewing a bee." ~ BBC Radiophonic Workshop - The Alchemists of Sound |

That's good to know... I always sort of thought of the technique as a 'cool-look what I can do with photoshop' that would get ewwws and ahhs. Those are actually the first two pics that I've done that way. I'll have to be more picky and chosey with target audiences. Good to know!

| | | eh, I'm just stating my opinion. But to me, it doesn't show off the picture. It emphasizes that one detail too much, like the leaf. And if you are just taking a picture of a leaf, cool, but it isn't that cool of a leaf

Same reason people on here dislike tasteless HDR but most of your friends would probably think its cool.. And youre Canon's not that shitty. If it was the SD940 you got a good price If it was the SD1200/1300 you paid too much Either way all the digital Elphs are decent cameras. Fuck with the manual controls
