| | | I was just romping around in a drainage pipe the other day and took some of my first photos for UER. I will most likely take more when i find an easier way to travel in a pipe that is only 3 and a half feet high. Tell me what you think i could improve.

| | | 1. Don't use flash. 2. Make sure you're focused before you take the shot. You can use a flashlight to help focus. 3. Use a tripod. You can use a skateboard to travel down drains this size, but most of them aren't worth it because they don't lead into anything large/interesting. Try to find some bigger drains using watershed and drainage maps, bing maps and google earth, or following creeks and just biking/driving around. Also, your city might have a map of the storm water infrastructure.
reckless thoughts abide; anachronistic and impulsive. loosely jacketed against the cold and ten thousand worlds for the choosing. |

thanks for the input, It was difficult because I only had a penlight to take on that dark tunnel. This one leads directly to a main infrastructure that has a large drop off into a cleansing basin (if its called that). i have a skateboard in the back of my car and I feel a bit stupid for not using it. When i have a bit of time this week, i will go the distance and get to the main opening.

| | | OOoh.. That basin sounds cool. If it's a decent size, don't forget to bring a whole friggin BAG of lights.
