I am sure someone else has done it before, but I just had to see it for myself. I went to Galveston to check out the Flagship hotel for possible later exploring, and had to take some pics of the Jungle Surf place off of Seawall Blvd. We didn't stay too long, but did see everything. Really cool little place.

i would avoid the pool... dont look good!
nice find!

When I say I'm 'clean and sober', it means I've showered and I'm headed to the liquor store.

I went there as a kid... It's weird to see it in this condition.. I love that big flower! Very nice pictures, I can't wait to explore it.

Thanks guys. (and gals!) This was one of those easy to enter, nice, sweet but short explorations. I could totally see how interesting and fun this place could have been as a kid. The pool had exposed electrical wires, gas tanks, fire extinguishers and all sorts of crazy stuff in it. One of the pools at the bottom of the slide had a fish in it too! I tried to get a pic of it, but it went into hiding.

I say it all the time, but I love how nature has a way of taking everything back...

That's awesome. My dad used to take me there every summer when we went down there. Thanks for the memories.

Nice set. I was down there a few years ago and actually stayed at the Flagship Hotel. This was a cool place and seemed to be in better shape than it is now. Thanks for sharing.

My wife and I hit this place while trying to find the old Sea Arama (demolished), which was right next to this location. We walked up one slide and down the other. Saw a LARGE living crab in the green pool. We were down there without camera as we were in Galveston because of my daughters trip to the ER while she was fishing with her step mom. No pics
