This is a very new abandonment. Looks like someone left in such a hurry they left behind their hooker heels. Well technically heel. Enjoy.

View from front exterior. Front door completely missing.

Side: For a pretty large house, the interior was layed out really strange.

Sweet heels!

The door was missing here as well:

What an odd place for a fireplace, in the middle of a room. Like an island on its own:

My best guess is a couple of weeks to a month, no water damage or apparent vandalism as of yet...

Hooker heels = nice.

A lot of folks don't like residential finds. I personally find them interesting when belongings are left behind. That's pretty cool. The place looks trashed/ransacked and somewhat pilfered. Obviously people overlooked the hidden gem, Great Value Thousand Island!

What did the signs say in the 6th photo?

Honestly I don't know, I was too scared to venture that far into that area, there were massive FLEAS infested, and I was trying to get out as quickly as possible!

Ew, fleas :/ Ha, I have only ever explored the surroundings and peeked through the windows of abandoned houses yet. Too worried someone might still live there, but there's some classy ones around the suburbs of Cleveland. The other day I went door to door for something, knocked on one and it opened right up. Someone later told me it was abandoned. I may go back and check it out.

But yeah, strange layout with the fireplace island o.o does the smoke go straight up, or is it expected to angle back? I can't really tell from that pic - cause that would be even stranger.

It appears the smoke from chimney goes straight up. Very odd architecture. (Or lack of).

Mmmm, protein! You should have checked the expiration date on the dressing. That would have given you an idea of when they left.

Whoa crazy fireplace...and i see they used the same tiles for the tub wall in the bathroom as they did for the countertop and backing in the kitchen heh. Must of had a bunch of them or something.

Looks like it would be a great little place if someone were to give it there time and money, but alas another one sits to rot away...

Great find TO. Thanks for sharing.

I noticed the tiles in the bathroom too, but didn't make the connection to the ones in the kitchen! Nice observation. I was scratching from the flea bites so I guess I was distracted!

With that logic my place has been abandoned for 3 years. Found some old shit on my shelves recently.

The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us?

I still have 4 year old swordfish nuggets in my freezer, from a grocery store that no longer exist...I just can't bear to part with them...the last relic of a forgotten market...

As for the set, nice find! It looks like it was in the process of being renovated very recently, as shown by the rewired lighting and those quick-fab steps on the front porch. Those don't look more than a month old. I think money may have just dried up, and the people were forced to give up and get a new house somewhere else...sad. I noticed there was something plugged into the wall in Photo, did you see what it was?

I saw that too, it looked like some kind of cell phone charger. There wasn't any power on though. Maybe the fleas plugged it in!!

There are two things in life I am afraid of.
1. Flea infestations
2. Ostriches. Evil birds.
