I'm ashamed to admit I kept the ink well... I felt it needed to be preserved. I'm sorry... But honestly, it would have been lost forever had I not.

Obviously the property owner was attempting to clear the overgrowth around the school, ie. the trees. Chopping them down is easy enough with the right equipment, but no, this farmer thought he was working smarter, not harder, so he burnt the trees to the ground, and they fell on the building, and now it's all ashes. That's my take on it, and that's damn sure what it looked like.
