Post by Freak: Bricktop, that roof looks a bit like a Nike radar dome from Alaska:

Post by Gringo Loco: What's with the funky roof on the last picture?

It's an old vent. system, it looks like this from up close-

And from inside of it-

These two are from the slightly bigger building there.

Here's looking back at the other one-

I saw those crazy roof's from another abandonment and had to go check that out right away.

Well... you caught me... it's actually brown mud but I adjusted the colour to make it look more, um, colourful

It's very well constructed though...I like it...

I actually found a house once that was so worn-down and disgusting-looking, I thought it HAD to be abandoned, so I tried to get inside, and that's when the owner drove up...

Yeah, awkward.

I have had the same thing happen to me! theres a place i pass coming home from work that is so overgrown and falling apart you can barely see the building itself (apart from the kitchen window) it's in a very busy residential area, but i would always stop and watch the place for a while, never saw anyone there or any movement, went back one night and the lights were on and someone was in the kitchen making their dinner!! some people choose to live in horrible conditions!

There's a house literally right next door to my apartment building that's been totally unoccupied for at least a couple of months. The grass got so long at one point that a city crew showed up and mowed the lawn because it violated a city code.
