| | Exploring an old bunker in Trondheim. < on 5/8/2010 10:32 PM >
| | | Me and a mate went to what we believe is an old bunker from WW2, although we don't know what it was used for. There are many bunkers scattered around Norway which the Nazis built when they occupied the country during WW2. As you can see in some of the pictures, there are a shitload of candles scattered around the whole complex. There must have been several thousand of them. Also, there was alot of weird graffiti pretty much everywhere. As far as I've heard, this place has been a popular place to get drunk and party, so that's where the candles come in I suppose.
I've got more pics if anyone is interested is seeing some more of this place.

| | | It's a beautiful country. The speedbumps are awful though, haha. We took that photo overlooking the sea just as we were about to get into the car and head back, when I leaned over the fence by where we parked and saw a small cannon bunker. (Photo nr. 3 from the end, picture taken from the inside and up) It's very small, roughly 2 x 2 meters and the cannon is long since removed as you can see. The cannon would have been overlooking the seaside like in the photo.

| | | Yeah we did, it's just an exit that's been walled up. Here's a picture taken from the opposite side of the door, through the hole, looking in. Not a very good photo, I couldn't get any more light through. The place has several entries/exits at different places around the mountain, however the bunker is quite small.

| | | Not that I'm there now but I too remember finding small bunkers in the hills of Tromso. Would kill to get back there in the winter again for those Northern Lights. Incredible

| | | Yeah the northern lights are beautiful. I haven't been to Tromsø yet, did you explore any of the bunkers you found, or were they sealed off?

| | | Always wanted to explore some wwii bunkers in Norge. I wonder if my Far Mor knows of any bunkers. She was quite involved in the Resistance during the occupation and has some interesting stories.
