| | | You should change every 8 hours of continuous use or when breathing becomes difficult through mask. I have the same mask and same exact filter cartridge. They are a bit too bulky and awkward on my face. If asbestos is your only concern I'd pick up a pack of these: http://www.norther...ilters-2-Pack.html Much lighter and saves on packspace too.

| | | I can get upwards of 3 or 4 days on one (maybe 12 hours total?) (I sparingly use mine, I will regret that in 30 years though)

I wear 1 in heavy concrete dust. 10 hours a day. Last me a week or so. If it gets damp or I start to get winded I swap it sooner. HazMat classes recommend you change it every day.
The question is not when are we gonna stop, It's who's gonna stop us? |

| | | From my experience, you only need to change them when breathing becomes difficult through the mask. I use mine once in a blue moon, so maybe every month I run to Menards and pick up another pack.

| | | US M2 40mm filter cartridge should be changed every 8 hours or less to maintain proper CBRN threat protection. I guess thats starting point to work with, your not dealing with VX, you can probably go past the 8 hour mark without serious results I'd guess.
