Don't think I've seen a 'splore of an abandoned riverboat before. Nice.

Here's a link to my first post on UER...this boat (The Meriwether Lewis dredge) indirectly helped me find this site. When I visited, it was open as a museum on certain days and hours, and the rest of the time, it looked quite "abandoned"...
In fact, I only found out that it had visiting hours at the END of my exploration...d'oh....

I used to live on the Tennessee River outside of Chattanooga, and I used to see both the Delta Queen fairly often and the Mississippi Queen very occasionally go by and I always wanted to go onboard one of them, kinda sad to see this one moored and falling apart. But that aside, these are some awesome pics! As a side note, I spent last year's Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and after finding this site, I wish I had spent more time exploring and less time on Bourbon Street. NOLA is a beautiful city with some stunning architecture. Oh well there's always next year (maybe).

Definitely one of the more badass explores I've seen on the forum, the first thing I thought of was that old song " Mississippi Queen". Awesome set, thanks for sharing.

The Delta Queen is now in Chattanooga. Its been docked at Coolidge Park and is a hotel.
