| | | Posted by Barry Kooda We used an inflatable canoe and saw lots of turtles and catfish but it was the nitrile gloves floating around that got me thinkin'.
|
eww yeah lol. We saw lots of fish too, the time we walked in (chest deep) we could feel them as you kicked them while walking...they were HUGE too, about the size of my calf. Also had a couple bats fly past our heads once or twice. We probably should of gotten tetanus shots after walking through that crap lol but we we're fine I guess...wish we had an inflatable canoe for that though, I'm still saving up for a raft of some sort for draining.

Don't waste money on rafts. They suck ass and can't be steered. I have an inflatable kayak like this one, http://www.amazon....1269048241&sr=1-33 except mine's a Coleman. Got it on Amazon for like 100 bucks. Worth every penny. Just took it out today on the Willamette today, saw a coupla drains that I needa go back to.

| | | Last time I was in there it was just small fish and the only dead animals I saw was a possum. I did find a $102 tho. Theres also a really huge water fall in there that you can hear for a long way. Scared the shit out of me when we where coming up on it and I first started hearing it.

| | | I hate to drag this back up after another mod has cleaned it up, but as the moderator for the south I'm going to. Damn, I've been out a lot lately with some family health issues, and I come back and find out someone is bashing up a new member like that? For no friggin reason? And we're the ones who are always bitching about the "elitists" on UER? Frankly, that frickin' pisses me off. I brag on the southern U.S. folks as being the most hospitable in UER and then I find this?

| | | UER SOUTH, I AM DISAPOINT!
We all had ostriches. My dad had an ostrich farm! I remember one day someone came in and said the high altitude bombing of Kosovo had been a limited success, so we all went out and celebrated… by killing an ostrich and boiling it in kiwi fruit. |

O ok cool...thanks for the tip. And nice find then Ardamass! lol that waterfall scared the shit out of me too, thought there might be an under current and that we'd get sucked into a waterfall that we couldn't see falling from our level into a lower one or something...but there weren't strong currents of any kind so that was reassuring at least on the way in And Raticus...they weren't too bad to me actually once I had some more private conversations off forum with them and even people who didn't post...I got to know some of them a little better in doing so too. Partly the reason it was cleaned up though was because I had to delete a comment in which I linked to another explorers content before asking permission and they stated later that they did not wish for it to be posted so that was my bad too. For the most part, almost everyone has been very friendly...especially on a more personal note.

I call that Infection Falls. The first time we went in there I slashed my forearm with the bow of the canoe, and then we went under the waterfall, getting my cut all wet. In the ensuing weeks the cut became crazy infected and my right arm had to be amputated just below the elbow. Kinda sucked.

I think tetanus shots are kinda a prerequisite for UE, no?

| . Meh, tetanus is an anaerobic bacteria. Only time you need a tetanus shot if if you have a puncture wound.
