| | | A few months ago I've posted the RAW sucks thread. After that I've been shooting nothing but RAW, trying to get better. Once I got the hang of it, I must say I feel much more secure shooting pics, knowing that I can adapt them later on. I've also been shooting at ISO100 and f/8 to get the more crisp pictures. I'm very pleased with the result. I would like to thank everyone for the input. Now I can continue getting better little by little.

| | | Huge improvement man, Raw really is good. As for the images, I can't find anything technically wrong with them. 1) The subject matter is kind of boring, but it's very well exposed. 2) Composition is a little boring in this one, I like the subject, but you kinda cut off the second crane, I think from a different angle this shoot would have been a lot better. 3) I actually love this shot, I'm a sucker for glassy water and nice reflections, I might have cropped a bit of the sky out though and made it more "panoramic" myself to get rid of the feeling like your camera is tilted up a lot. But other than that I really do like it. I'm no pro, but I would say you're in the same boat I am, you know your camera, you know the settings. It's just a matter of working on composition which is something you don't just magically pick up over night, keep shooting, keep loving it... Cheers

I've used a canon 350D with a sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM on these pictures. Post processed with lightroom. And upload? I've used some webspace to place em on. First one was point and shoot. [last edit 2/10/2010 10:23 AM by wopke - edited 1 times]

| | | Great shots and I too felt there was no need for RAW until I started shooting in it. I love the control it gives me
