First bracket and blend (Old Camera, so image quaility as suffered)

About 2 years ago I stopped and shot a set in the Risdon safety pin factory. I had read Desmet's B&B tutorial, so in one area I decided to bracket some shots for later experimentation. Well I finally got around to it and gave it a shot, deciding to test it out on the older shots before I move onto my recent ones.

Keep in mind, this was a crappy camera. 5MP, and a set ISO of 100. All I could do was change exposure balance. So I shot a shadow's frame and a "Highlight" frame. The shots also suffer from jpg compression because of how much the camera compressed the photos. Be blunt if you need to, but my main concern is if the two exposures were blended adequately enough to seem 'seamless'. I also lightened the image about 25%, but no more detail could be brought out.

Rip em.

I think your highlights are still overexposed.

*nods* I did the best I could with what I had. I'll have to see about getting back down there with my pride and joy GE...give the place another going over with a camera that I can actually adjust.

Point and shoot: Use the EV setting for a little bit of help.

Meter for the shadows (point into the darkness) then frame correctly and shoot.
Then meter for the highlights, and hope you can use the EV setting to kick some sense into the camera.

Don't use the GE. It doesn't seem to do what you want. Why tolerate electronics that don't?

I was using the EV. That's how bad the old camera was.

The camera that these shots were taken with wasn't the GE, it was the shitty DXG digital camera I bought for $65. My First camera.

Everything I've shot recently and for the last year have ALL been from my GE. There is no comparison between the two.

Example: Cafeteria in Advanced Communication Systems.
Taken 2 months apart, identical lighting.
