| | | I really like #6. The rest are out of focus or the composition needs some work.

| | | I was along with livestrong when most of these were shot, please bear in mind that the man's only got a Nikon Collpix to work with at the moment... Given that these are all p&s shots, the focus isn't that bad
If photography is a function of the photographer then I will contentedly buy all my gear on craigslist. (/from livestrong2009) |

| | | 6 FTW. #3 and 4 need to be straightened out IMO. The rest lack composition. I think the subjects are interesting but maybe play a bit more with different angles and lighting. I do like the colors in your last one, quite the contrast between rust and sky. Very cool. [last edit 1/28/2010 3:51 PM by k9uknit - edited 1 times]

| | | My next question for you is- Which do you like better out of these 3? If you have a preference out of the 3, why? 1.
2.
3.

| | | Thanks for the comments! Out of the two portraits, it was a difficult decision for me because the vintage look is cool, and fits with the age of that lighthouse. On the other hand though, the colors that day were perfect, the picture just looks so clean...pearly white/bright red/ a bit of blue... That little lighthouse is one of the few interesting, unchanged, and historical gems in the city I am from.

| | | From those three, I prefer the second one because I like how the lighthouse is so clear and I like the colder "feel" of the pictures, but I also tend to prefer cooler colors in pictures than warmer colors, so... The portrait layout is definitely best because of the depth it gives the photo. ~Chappie

| | | Thanks, I agree with that. It is a difficult choice for me between the non-edited portrait and the edited portrait. The warm color gives it a more rustic feel, that makes it seem to fit with the era of that lighthouse (1901). The non-edited though feels so clean and crisp just like that day felt...

| | | Thanks everybody! I entered the 3rd version of number 6 in a photo competition. The competition is only open to people attending my college, so hopefully that will give me a decent chance.

| | | Focus on 1, 2, and 3 seems a little off. I know these are macro/depth of field shots but the focus composition just doesn't sit well with me. Other three are great.
